About Me
My name is Chris Brucher. I am, first and foremost, a knowledge junkie.I suppose this is where I should tell you more about who I am by saying one word. It should be something like, “I am Chris Brucher, a writer.”
But the problem with that is that it doesn’t really capture a person to describe them with one word. No one wants to read about “Ben Franklin, Genius.” People would love to read about “Ben Franklin, Genius, Ladykiller, and Love of the French.” That’s why I don’t call myself a writer alone.
Still, writing is where I want my life to go, and that’s where this blog comes from. I write and edit for my school newspaper, I’m working on a book, I write short stories like no one’s business, and I’ve been working (and am still working) on finally getting on Cracked.com. But I’m not just a writer. I’m also a cook, a hiker, a kayaker, a volleyball player, a gamer, and oh so much more.
For example, I’m studying economics and marketing. And that didn’t even show up until what… seventh and eighth on the list?
I like to think that life is a lot like that. People try to narrow it down to smaller categories, but I like to try and see life through many windows. This is the train of thought that Emoticonvergence comes from. It’s my way to look at life along with others through more than one lens.
Maybe someday you’ll get a crash course on Chris Brucher. For now just know that I’m a student who writes for his paper, studies hard, and is partially in charge of running and participating in two comedy clubs on campus. In my off-time I cook and work on writing a book and write this blog. I hope you enjoy it.
